I have often found that academics and polemic are made so much more palatable by a few light ordurvs and a nice cup of tea or coffee. On the other hand, if you can get your hands on an ice-cold brewski, that will do as well. The point is, that we need something to help wash down the more meaty subjects and ideas, right?
