About this Website

"Reflections are nothing more than perceptions, which are completely dependent on who and what we are. We perceive based on a reflection of ourselves"

~ Paul Richardson, 2008

PURPOSE

The mission of this website consists of a few simple goals:

1. To promote the training and use of VR/qWorlds/Sim technologies for problem solving.

2. To identify and overcome roadblocks which hinder implementing such projects.

3. To create a consolidated reference which contains links to many other individual resources.

4. To address potential concerns in such a ways as to ease the transition to this approach.

5. To engage and motivate interest by faculty, staff, students, and parents in this technology

STRATEGY

The strategy and principles by which I have attempted operate in the attainment of the objectives above, include:

1. Honest, blunt discussion of the core issues, without any fancy talk.

2. To include conservative well educated predictions of how this technology may affect education in the near and distant future.

3. Remain unbiased and vendor-neutral while still reflecting the dominance of certain leading businesses and organizations in this area.

VISION

The ideal educational organization is impossible to achieve. But greatness never results from taking the easy route. I would describe the ideal educational organization as:

1. Establishing a culture of life-long learning and promoting the continual investigation of new uses of technology tools in education.

2. Evangelizing the nobility and value to society that such practices provides, and delivering these messages from the mouths of the organizations top leaders.

3. Supporting all organizational members to become involved as savvy users through significant allocation of budgetary funds to internal training and development.
